Research

My current research agenda is focused on the following topics:

  • eVoices, the voices of the underprivileged mediated by social media;
  • Slum Tourism, Informal Learning and Community Participation;
  • Access to old (rural radio) and new media (internet), and the social construction of meaning related to these media;
  • Creative participatory methods in ICT4D projects;
  • The role of ICT in enhancing community entrepreneurship in developing contexts;
  • Visualisations for social change in educational settings.
